The 25 photos of the exhibition constitute the outcome of the electronic competition that was organized by MEDASSET and was held from November until December 2011 for the public’s awareness on our Mediterranean Sea. One hundred and thirty eight amateur photographers uploaded in the competition’s site at http://photocontest.medasset.org 350 photos in total. The public chose 60 and the three-member committee, consisted of the Director of Collections and Museum’ s programming of National Gallery, Dr. Olga Mentzafou - Polyzou, the painter Achilleas Drougkas and the oceanologist and underwater photographer Ioannis Issaris, chose the final 25.
