Use freely as an airport visitor
Smoking in the Terminal Building is not allowed, including the use of electronic cigarette. However, you can use the designated smoking areas available at the following areas:
Departures Intra Schengen (opposite departure gates B12 &B19)
Departures Extra Schengen (opposite departure gate A8)
Arrivals Intra Schengen (opposite baggage belt 6)
Arrivals Extra Schengen (before entering in the Passport Control area)
Departures, Satellite Terminal Building
There is an Orthodox Chapel at the 2nd floor of K wing of the Main Terminal Building. You may access the area by using the elevators opposite the central information counters of departures or arrivals. Once your reach the 2nd floor, you may find it after the restaurants by following the respective signage.
The interfaith room is located on the 2nd floor of K wing of the Main Terminal Building. Water fountains can be found at Athens International Airport, at the following areas for visitors and passengers:
Free access area -> Departures opposite check in counters 21 & 155, as well as opposite WHSmith shop.
Arrivals: close to exits 1 & 5.
Areas accessible to passengers only -> Departures Schengen: opposite Swatch shop, at gates B17 & B21.
Departures Non-Schengen: at the corridor behind Candyfair shop & at the corridor opposite gate A15.
Arrivals Non-Schengen: before entering the Passport Control area.
Baggage Reclaim area: opposite baggage belt 1, between belts 5 &6, and opposite belt 12.
Satellite terminal building: at the tunnel, next to moving walkway 5. At departures, just before departure gates C27-32 & C37-40.
You may charge your phone or your laptop at various points throughout the terminal. The charging sockets & usb ports are usually located close to seats, in multiple areas before & after security control. Additionally, charging points are available at the e-lounge on the arrivals level, opposite exit 3.
