Your connections to / from Athens airport

Metro

Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) connects the airport with Athens city center & Piraeus - "Dimotiko Theatro". More information is available on stasy.gr.

Suburban railway 

The Suburban Railway connects the airport with Ano Liosia and Piraeus, and destinations outside Attica. The route to Piraeus connects the airport with the railway station of "Athens" (Larissis Station), where passengers can transfer to trains that operate routes to destinations outside Athens.

It is also possible to transfer at the stations of "Ano Liosia" & "Kato Acharnai" to trains travelling to Kiato & Aigio (via Kiato).

Public buses (OASA)  

4 Express bus lines connect the airport with Syntagma (X95), Piraeus (X96), Kifissos & Liossion Intercity Bus Stations (X93) & "Elliniko" Metro Station ("Dafni" night hours) X97. For more information, you may call 11185 or visit the website Airport Express Bus Lines – OASA.

Regional buses (Attica KTEL) 

The lines Rafina & Markopoulo (connection with Lavrion) serving Athens airport make a terminal stop, but also start at the Arrivals Level, between Exits 2 and 3, at the external lane opposite Sofitel hotel. For more information about the connection routes with Rafina you can contact the central bus station of Rafina at +30 22990 40738. More information is also available here.

Intercity buses to other major cities of Greece depart either from Kifissos KTEL Station (tel: +30 210 5124910, +30 210 5124911) www.dromologiaktel.gr or from Liosion Bus Station.

Connection with Piraeus port

  • By Metro 

Use Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) from Athens airport to "Piraeus" station. Estimated travel time: 60 minutes.

  • By Suburban railway  

Use the Suburban Railway with destination to Piraeus. Estimated travel time: 65 minutes

  • By Bus

Select X96 line “Piraeus - Athens International Airport”. Estimated travel time: 90 minutes. Telematics – OASA

Connection with Rafina port  

Use the regional bus to Rafina (KTEL Rafina), which departs from the Arrivals Level, between Exits 2 and 3, in the outer lane opposite Sofitel hotel.

Connection with Lavrio port

Use the regional bus to Markopoulo (KTEL Markopoulo) with transfer to Lavrio regional bus line at Markopoulo. The line to Markopoulo departs from the Arrivals Level, between Exits 2 and 3, in the outer lane, opposite Sofitel hotel.

Note: Sparse routes frequency, available only during day hours.
