Arrivals procedure
Regardless of flight origin, passengers from all incoming flights exit from the Arrivals Area – Level 0 of the Main Terminal Building.
After leaving the aircraft, upon entering the terminal, follow the airport signs for “Arrivals,” go through Passport Control (for non-Schengen Arrivals), proceed to the Baggage Reclaim Area, find the baggage belt of your flight on the Baggage Information monitors, pick-up your baggage and after customs clearance, & currency declaration (if you need to) exit to the Arrivals / All Users Area.
Make sure that you have collected the right baggage by checking your baggage claim tags. After exiting the Baggage Reclaim Area, re-entrance is not permitted.
All passengers originating directly from non-Schengen countries exit at Area A (between Exits 1 & 2) & all passengers originating from Schengen countries exit at Area Β (between Exits 4 & 5).
The countries that joined the Schengen Treaty are the following: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Baggage Delivery / Lost & Found
Airlines and their respective ground handling agents are responsible for baggage handling and delivery at Athens Airport. For further assistance, or for items forgotten on the aircraft please contact the appropriate airline/ground handler directly. View the airlines section
Pick up a passenger
Those meeting passengers from an incoming flight are advised to confirm the flight status before coming to the airport.

If you intend to come to the airport by car:
Please be reminded that parking is not permitted in front of the Main Terminal Building.
Free of charge parking for 20 minutes, valid for up to 2 entries per day across all parking areas is available. As of the 3rd entry, charges apply according to the pricelist.
For passengers arriving at Area A (Non-Schengen), the nearest parking is Short Term 1.
For passengers arriving at Area B (Schengen), the nearest parking is Short Term 2.
For arriving flight status while at the Terminal, please refer to the Flight Information Monitors or to Arrivals Level Information Counter, by Exit 3.
