A unique exhibition organised by the Museum of Cycladic Art was hosted at the Athens International Airport premises from May 12th until October 10th, 2011. The exhibition called “The Last Grand Tour. Σύγχρονοι Περιηγητές στην Ελλάδα" was curated by Jessica Morgan, curator of the Tate Modern in London, and brought together for the very first time works by many of the internationally renowned artists who lived and worked in Greece during the twentieth century. Looking at Greece as a place of inspiration over the past sixty years, the works included reflected the various ways in which the country, its long cultural history and geographic characteristics have continued to be a source for artistic innovation through time.
