Athens International Airport hosted for the sixth consecutive year the special environmental awareness exhibition titled “ECOMOBILITY” which was organised by “Ecocity”, a non-profit organisation which focusses on city and suburban environmental issues, from October 3^rd 2011 to January 8^th 2012. The exhibition offered airport passengers and visitors the chance to admire models, photographic material, paintings, printed material and innovative constructions created by High School students in their effort to describe environmental problems in big cities and depict the image of their dream city without exhaust fumes and smog.

All artworks were created during the 2010-2011 academic year, in order to support students’ projects in the framework of the environmental campaign “ECOMOBILITY”. The programme was organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs, Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Ministry of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping, Ministry for Citizen Protection, Ministry of the Interior, as well as the Representation of the European Commission in Greece.
