With the contribution of G. Zongolopoulos Foundation, Athens International Airport hosted at its premises the exhibition under the title “Honorary Event on the work of the sculptor George Zongolopoulos”, as a tribute to the great Greek sculptor.

Sculptures and photographic material of George Zongolopoulos’ work decorated interior and exterior areas of Athens International Airport. Five original sculptures at the Departures Level and a photographic exhibition displayed at the Arrivals Level of MTB presented all airport visitors the opportunity to become acquainted with the work of the great artist, who left his mark on both his country’s as well as European art. Olympic Circles, the gigantic work of the prominent Greek sculptor adorns the Airport’s open-air site since 2002.
