“PLAY ME - THE PIANO PROJECT” (19.6. - 22.6.2013)

Wednesday 19-6-13

• Location 1 Departures Level - Airport’s Shopping Center- open Access area

  Visual artists Katerina Kris, Panayiotis Pantazis and Aris Tsoutsikas will creatively “transform” 3 pianos. After the conclusion of the transformation process, the 3 pianos will be placed to 3 open access areas inside the MTB, where musical happenings will be performed.
  Duration of the event: 12:00 – 17:00
  
   

Thursdsay 20-6-13

• Location 1  Departures Level - Airport’s Shopping Center- open Access Area

  Piano performance  by Fay Psichopedopoulou in works by French composers of the Romantic period and Greek compositions of today’s scene.
  Time : 11:00-12:00 (2 performances  x20’)



• Location 2  Arrivals Level- οpen Access Area B
  Yiorgos Psichoyios  Recital : The well-known artist and composer will perform on the piano various jazz improvisations.
  Time: 13:30-14:30 (2 performances x20’)
   
• Location 3  Departures Level – Entrance 3 - open Access Area

  Violin and Piano Duo by Nina Patrikidou and Evgenia Votanopoulou, in classical compositions.
  Time: 15:00-16:00 (2 performances x20’)

Friday 21-6-13

• Location 1  Departures Level - Airport’s Shopping Center- open Access Area 

  Violin and Piano Duo, Efi Christodoulou (violin) and  Maria Neofitidou (piano)  will perform pieces of the classic, romantic and contemporary period from Greek and foreign composers.
  Time:11:00-12:00 (2 performances x20’)



• Location 2  Arrivals Level- open Access Area B

  Trio Clarinet, bass clarinet and piano by Christos Ginos (bass, clarinet), Alexandros Michailidis (clarinet) and Maria Kontaratou (piano).
  Time:12:30-13:30 (2 performances x20’)



• Location 3  Departures Level – Entrance 3 - open Access Area 

  The well-known artist and composer Yiannis Spiropoulos-Bach, performs on the piano  jazz improvisations and offers a special tribute to the famous jazz pianist  Cecil Taylor.
  Time:14:00-15:00 (2 performances x20’)

Saturday 22-6-13

• Location 1  Departures Level - Airport’s Shopping Center- open Access Area

  Fenia Papadodima performs  her own piano compositions as well as famous covers from Coltrane, Jobim, Hancock.
  Time: 11:00- 12:00 (2 performances x20’)

• Location 2  Arrivals Level- open Access Area B

  Daphne Lz performs ”mixed”  piano melodies .
  Time: 12:30-13:30 (2 performances x20’)

•  Location 3 Departures Level – Entrance 3 - open Access Area

  Victoria Tagouli and the composer Christos Theodorou on the piano in various compositions of the Greek and world repertoire
  Time: 14:00- 15:00 (2 performances x20’)

The 3 pianos, after the conclusion of the “Play-me- the Piano project”, will be offered to the children of the non-profit Organizations: “The Smile of the Child”, “The Ergastiri” and the “SOS Children’s Villages of Greece” in Vari”.
