The Acropolis Museum - a Classic Destination

This exhibition is hosted in a specially designed area of the Main Terminal Building and organized in cooperation with the Acropolis Museum. Housing the masterpieces of the Acropolis, the Museum offers its visitors a fresh view of life in Greek antiquity in the comfort of a contemporary building designed by an award-winning architect. The exhibition includes cast copies of the west Parthenon frieze and a cast copy of the “Peplos Kore”, one of the most beautiful votive offerings of the archaic Acropolis. Additionally, the exhibition presents a digital representation of the “Peplos Kore” with the statue’s marble surface colored at its alleged original condition, as well as a short video presentation of the Acropolis Museum, a perfect introduction to your visit.
