The Athens International Airport hosts the exhibition Images from Athens from the Benaki Museum Photographic Archives. A fine selection of images by significant Greek photographers, illustrate views of the city centre, its squares as well as its central roads, dating from the mid 19th century to the end of the 1960s. Valued equally for their historical significance and for their aesthetic excellence, these photographs selected from the Photographic Archives of the Benaki Museum offer to the viewer a unique experience to travel back to an Athens that no longer exists.
