In cooperation with the Voluntary Organization for Urban Environment ECOCITY, Athens International Airport hosted for the fifth consecutive year at the airport premises a special environmental awareness exhibition titled “ECOMOBILITY – Ecological Automation” from September 6th - November 14th 2010. The exhibition presented models, photographic material, painting, printed material and innovative constructions, all of which were created by High School students, who thus depicted environmental problems in big cities and created the image of their dream city without exhaust fumes and smog.

Artworks were created during the 2009-2010 academic year, in order to support students’ projects in the framework of the environmental campaign “ECOMOBILITY, Ecological Automation”. The programme was organised under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs, Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Ministry of Economy, Competitiveness & Shipping, the European Commissioner for the Environment, as well as the Representation of the European Commission in Greece.
