The National Theatre of Greece participated in the 10 year anniversary programme “Art and Culture Wishes” of the Athens International Airport and presented Sophocles’ Antigone at ΑΙΑ’s Main Terminal Building, on May 3rd, 2011.

Antigone, directed by Takis Tzamargias, was part of the National Theatre’ s initiative “The National Theatre of Greece in Education” in which new talented actors addressed Lyceum students. Actors bearing only the absolutely necessary materials brought some of the magic of the theatre in a non - traditional venue, as students watched Sophocles’ text transformed from school material into a live play.
