In the framework of AIA’s cooperation with the culture platform “ελculture”, regarding the implementation of the cultural program «Fly me to the Moon»  and on the occasion of the International Music Day (21 June 2013), a special festive programme was organised with many happenings while creatively transforming the three pianos that were located for this purpose at the Main Terminal Building.
On the first day, Wednesday, June 19th, three artists transformed through painting, in front of the passengers and visitors’ eyes, the three pianos while on Thursday, June 20th to Saturday, June 22nd events and concerts took place at various points within the Airport by well known performers and music groups. By the end of the musical events, the 3 pianos were offered to charitable foundations (Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Disabilities “To Ergastiri”, “The Smile of the Child”, “SOS Children's Villages”), giving to the children the opportunity to experience and enjoy the world of music.
