“IMAGINAIRY” New digital exhibition at Athens International Airport by Athens Digital Arts Festival
Athens International Airport continues its collaboration with the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) and invites its passengers to experience the unique digital art exhibition “IMAGINAIRY”, from 15.11.2021 to 31.5.2022.

The exhibition, a compilation of high-aesthetic works by artists of the new digital age, screened on specially designed installations, highlights the new “metaverse era” through a panorama of 43 video and animation artworks by local and international artists. The works are inspired by the following themes: Future, Mankind, City, Travel, Destination, Nature and Expression.

“IMAGINAIRY” is an invitation to a journey through imagination, aiming to enhance the visitor’s travel experience within a heterotopic space of transition: the airport. Through the screenings of the unique artworks, the traveler experiences contemporary art through a mental journey to unexpected and undefined destinations.

The exhibition is on display accessible at the:
  • Arrivals, Extra-Schengen Baggage Reclaim Hall - Reclaim Belt 1
  • Arrivals, Schengen Baggage Reclaim Hall - Reclaim Belt 12

Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) is the International Festival of Digital Arts in Greece, which celebrates digital culture through an annual gathering bringing together a global community of artists and audiences.
Athens Digital Arts Festival aims to encourage, stimulate, and promote all aspects of digital creativity by hosting local as well as international artists and communities. Additionally, it actively participates in European programs related to audience development and the promotion of digital culture and education.
The Athens Digital Arts Festival has been taking place annually since 2005, welcoming more than 270,000 visitors. In 2020, as a reaction to the global pandemic, ADAF launched its first online festival through the platform online.adaf.gr. This new digital art platform, ADAF ONLINE, offers on-demand and live screenings, making the festival accessible to a global audience with no geographical limitations.

The 17th Athens Digital Arts Festival is co-financed by the Hellenic Republic and the European Union through the Regional Operational Program “Attica” in the framework of NSRF 2014-2020.
