Let’s go elsewhere and take a journey into
the past. From the famed city of Byblos, the
ancient seafaring people of the Phoenicians
brought grapevines to the Pangaio region,
which they called "Biblia Ampelos." This va-
riety continued to be cultivated by the an-
cient Greeks, who produced the renowned
"Vivlinos Wine", as mentioned by the an-
cient Greek poet Hesiod as well as by the
Byzantine historian Michael Psellos. Perhaps
it was this history that inspired two gifted
Greek winemakers, Vangelis Gerovassiliou
