designed extension of the Städel Μuseum
with plenty of indirect sunlight, illuminating
the artwork that lies beneath. German
practice schneider + schumacher created
this impressive addition to the original
museum built in 1878 and while the gradient
grid in the grass field allows users to walk
on a unique garden, geothermal heat pumps
help to maintain comfortable temperatures,
using the earth’s mass as an effective
insulator. | 195 στρογγυλοί φεγγίτες ρίχνουν
άπλετο φυσικό φως στα έργα που κρύβονται
στην υπόγεια επέκταση του Städel Μuseum,
που φέρει την υπογραφή του αρχιτεκτονικού
γραφείου schneider + schumacher. Όσο
οι επισκέπτες περπατούν πάνω σε ένα
φουτουριστικό κήπο, γεωθερµικοί αεραγωγοί
κρατούν τις θερµοκρασίες χαµηλά,
χρησιµοποιώντας τη µάζα του εδάφους ως
αποτελεσµατική µόνωση.
