Airport Company’s involvement and potential cooperation
with HCAA in future major projects. In 2008, AIA entered
into an agreement with a Greek Bank for the provision of
Integrated Data Centre Services. Within the scope of this
agreement, the bank’s servers are to be hosted within AIA’s
Data Centre facilities, where effective system support will
ensure the customers’ business continuity.
In the international sector, both major projects at Dubai
(United Arab Emirates) and Hyderabad (India) airports
progressed intensively. In Dubai, AIA’s IT&T undertook
the development of the IT Strategic Master Plan for the
Dubai Airports Company. The Hyderabad project features
the evaluation of the existing IT systems’ readiness and
integration, as well as IT business expansion possibilities.
Finally, AIA’s IT&T business unit developed specialised
systems aiming to simplify corporate procedures. In this
context, the “Business Automation” concept, which entails
the transformation of the paper-based daily administration
corporate processes to a new “all-electronically submitted
and approved process”, was successfully implemented in
Finance and HR, replacing paper corporate forms.
