The Bridge Project
An exciting cultural kaleidoscope, featuring Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, 29-30-31 July

This cooperation reunites the two men for the
first time since their collaboration on American
Beauty, for which they had both received BAFTA
and Academy Awards. Following its premiere
at the Old Vic in London, the play embarked on
a world tour that includes Greece. This is the
second time that the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
will host the Bridge Project.
Η υπερατλαντική καλλιτεχνική γέφυρα που ξεκίνησε
το 2009 με τριετή ορίζοντα, το Bridge Project, στην
τρίτη και τελευταία σεζόν του φιλοξενείται για δεύ-
τερη φορά στο Αρχαίο Θέατρο της Επιδαύρου. Στην
πολυαναμενόμενη παράσταση του φετινού καλοκαι-
ριού, ο Σαμ Μέντες επιστρέφει για να σκηνοθετήσει
τον Κέβιν Σπέισι στον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο του Ρι-
χάρδου του 3ου. Με την παράσταση αυτή που έκα-
νε πρεμιέρα στο Old Vic του Λονδίνου (The Old Vic
Theatre in London) , οι δύο καλλιτέχνες συναντιού-
νται ξανά για πρώτη φορά μετά το πολυβραβευμένο
American Beauty.

Τhis musical-theatrical performance pays
tribute to Nikos Gatsos on the occasion of the
centenary from his birth. Based on texts written
by him or dedicated to him, the performance
conveys the dynamism of the poet and his era.
Με αφορμή τα 100 χρόνια από τη γέννηση του
Νίκου Γκάτσου, το Φεστιβάλ τιμά τον μεγάλο
ποιητή με μια μουσικο-θεατρική παράσταση σε
κείμενα του ίδιου ή αφιερωμένα σ’ αυτόν, απο-
δίδοντας τη δυναμική του ποιητή και της εποχής
του και ανατρέχοντας στην ιστορία των τελευ-
ταίων 100 χρόνων της χώρας που τον γέννησε.
