TRENDSETTERS | OI ΠΡΩΤΟΠΟΡΟΙ
In the 17 years of his career, Elias Ledakis has
worked as art director and set designer for
more than a hundred performances, TV shows
and cinema productions. Awarded for his work
in “Angel Baby” (2002), he reached a new peak
in 2006, when the mega set he designed for the
Eurovision Song Contest became a landmark in
international set design. This year, he captured
audiences as Production Designer of the Opening
and Closing Ceremonies of the Special Olympics
2011 in Athens. Elias Ledakis and the team from
his company, Blonde, have worked for more than
2,5 years on the scenographic and art design
under the art direction of Fokas Evangelinos. While
working on his next project – the set design for
M. Karamagiolis’ new movie “J.A.C.E.” – he spoke
to 2board and revealed the secret of his success:
“Hard work and keeping a low profile. My passion
remains the same, whether it is for a large project,
a fringe underground performance or a popular
TV show, as long as I have a good time and work

τη διάρκεια της 17χρονης πορείας του, ο Ηλί-
ας Λεδάκης έχει επιμεληθεί δημιουργικά και
σκηνογραφικά πάνω από εκατό παραστάσεις,
τηλεοπτικές εκπομπές, κινηματογραφικές παραγω-
γές και TV shows. Στο ενεργητικό του έχει ένα βρα-
βείο για την παράσταση Αngel Baby (2002), ενώ το
σκηνικό που σχεδίασε για τη Eurovision 2006 έγινε
case study σκηνογραφικού σχεδιασμού στην παγκό-
σμια βιβλιογραφία! Φέτος, καθήλωσε το κοινό ως
Production Designer των Τελετών Έναρξης και Λή-
ξης των Special Olympics 2011 στο Καλλιμάρμαρο.
Μαζί με την ομάδα του στην εταιρεία BLONDE, ερ-
γάστηκαν επί δυόμισι χρόνια για τη σκηνογραφική
εικονοποίηση και τον καλλιτεχνικό σχεδιασμό της
παραγωγής, υπό τη δημιουργική διεύθυνση του
Φωκά Ευαγγελινού. Ενώ εργάζεται ήδη πάνω στο
επόμενο project του (επιμελείται σκηνογραφικά τη
νέα ταινία του Μ. Καραμαγγιώλη J.A.C.E.), αποκά-
λυψε στο 2board τη δική του συνταγή της επιτυχίας:
«Πολλή δουλειά και χαμηλοί τόνοι. Με το ίδιο πά-
θος αντιμετωπίζω ένα μεγάλο project με μια περι-
θωριακή underground παράσταση ή ένα λαϊκό τη-
λεοπτικό θέαμα. Αρκεί να περνάω καλά και να δου-
