What does hospitality mean to you?
To make the person who has come
to you, selected you and trusted you
to deliver a series of services feel at
home, friendly, warm, and comfortable.
In the tourism sector, hospitality entails
professionalism and knowledge. You know
how to make your guest feel good by your
side and you do this in the most professional and
friendly manner.
What makes a hotel… unique?
The ability to offer luxury services with knowledge
and experience. Outstanding infrastructure and
exceptionally trained staff. Meeting the needs of
your guest with a smile. The effortless feeling of
wellness.
If you did not work in the hospitality sector, where
would you have liked to work?
Anywhere I could feel that I could contribute
significantly and where the results of my labours
can be reaped directly. The hospitality industry
involves the satisfaction of receiving direct
feedback and responsiveness from the client; you
feel that what you do, what you have organised,
what you have worked for, is bearing fruit. It
brings smiles and pleasure to people.
What is the hardest thing about your job?
Dealing with “emergency” situations. However,
that is also one of the biggest challenges – direct
action in unexpected situations. Being ready
to react immediately, keeping your cool and
your smile even under the most demanding of
circumstances.
Which great historical figure would you like to
host in your hotels?
Our hotels have hosted almost all the great
political and cultural personalities. For us, every
person who entrusts their stay with us is a special
personality. Thus, we feel that in this sense we
escort their time with us. Every person is a VIP
– a very important person. However, if I had to
choose an important personality that is active in
current affairs today, I would choose a woman
with a rich past and, dare I predict, an even
greater future: Hilary Clinton.
