sandy shores of the island to begin their
long walk to the sea, where the – also
protected – mediterranean monk seal,
monachus monachus, can also be found.
the first marine park in not only Greece,
but in the mediterranean, dedicated to
the protection of the sea turtle is also
responsible for the coastal ecosystems
of the Gulf of Lagana and the strofades
islands, home to hundreds of species

καλοκαίρι ένα πλήθος μικρών χελώνων

Το πρώτο θαλάσσιο πάρκο στην ελλάδα
αλλά και τη Μεσόγειο για την προστασία
της θαλάσσιας χελώνας φροντίζει επίσης
για τα παράκτια οικοσυστήματα του
κόλπου του Λαγανά και των νησίδων
Στροφάδων, όπου ζουν εκατοντάδες είδη
σπάνιας χλωρίδας και πανίδας.
