Like a multicoloured kaleidoscope,
where evergreen broadleaf trees grow
side by side with conifers, this is where
visitors can admire all types of vegetation
found in europe. the national park’s
landscape is carved by the nestos river
and the two artificial lakes, while the
currents and impressive waterfalls, the
traditional watermills and arched bridges
are the “natural home” of more than
139 bird and mammal species, as well
as the last remaining populations of the

πλατύφυλλα δέντρα εναλλάσσονται με τα
ψυχρόβια κωνοφόρα, εδώ μπορεί κάποιος

της ευρώπης. Στο ανάγλυφο του εθνικού
Πάρκου κυριαρχεί ο ποταμός νέστος
και οι δύο τεχνητές λίμνες του. ετσι τα
ρέματα και οι εντυπωσιακοί καταρράκτες,
οι παραδοσιακοί νερόμυλοι και τα τοξωτά
γεφύρια είναι το «φυσικό σπίτι» για 139
είδη πτηνών και θηλαστικών, καθώς και για
έναν από τους τελευταίους πληθυσμούς
