Villa Mercedes insists on downtown Athens even in the summer and is first on the list of those who don’t
follow the Poseidonos avenue trail to the Athenian Riviera. The restaurant featuring Kostas Terzoudis’
‘meditasian’ menu, a combination of Mediterranean and Asian flavours, and the private cocktail bar have
been transformed into a verdant garden bursting with olive trees, another detail inexorable with the Greek
summer, and decorated with crystal chandeliers. Inside the club, interior designer Thanassis Koutsagias has
created an explosive colour palette that includes white chandeliers, midnight black flooring with shades of
metallic copper and blue wave lighting. Meanwhile, the V.I.P area offers a panoramic view of the grounds.
Open seven days a week, Villa Mercedes also hosts popular Greek and famous international DJs. | Eπι-

ρίζουν την λεωφόρο Ποσειδώνος για παραλιακή διασκέδαση. Το εστιατόριο με το medit-asian menu του
Κώστα Τερζούδη και το private cocktail bar μεταμορφώθηκαν σε έναν καταπράσινο κήπο όπου τα ελαιόδε-
ντρα (σήμα κατατεθέν του ελληνικού καλοκαιριού) μπερδεύονται με τους κρυστάλλινους πολυελαίους. Στο
Club ο interior designer Θανάσης Κουτσάγιας δημιούργησε μια εκρηκτική παλέτα χρωμάτων με λευκούς
πολυελαίους, midnight black δάπεδα, cooper metallic αποχρώσεις και blue wave φωτισμό. Ενώ το VIP προ-
σφέρει πάντα την αφ’ υψηλού θέα στο Villa Mercedes, που είναι ανοιχτό 7/7 και φιλοξενεί στα decks τους
πιο δημοφιλείς Έλληνες και ακριβοθώρητους διεθνείς DJ. D.M.

A few years ago, the iconic Papadakis
restaurant migrated from the island of Paros
to the heart of Kolonaki with a distinctly
Aegean flair. Highlights include its intimate
atmosphere, wonderful patio and of course,
the fresh fish and seafood creations by
famous Greek chef, Argyro Barbarigou. The
results? The restaurant’s Aegean flair and
sea breeziness is encapsulated in creative
versions of traditional island delicacies, such
as grilled octopus with honey, orzo pasta
with lobster or crayfish and chickpeas baked
for 24 hours and served with taramosalata.
Very island chic indeed. | Το εμβληματικό
εστιατόριο Παπαδάκης μετακόμισε από την
Πάρο στο Κολωνάκι πριν από μερικά χρόνια
και έφερε μαζί του άρωμα από Αιγαίο. Ένας
μικρός χώρος με οικεία ατμόσφαιρα, μια
υπέροχη αυλή και focus στα ψάρια και τα
θαλασσινά με την υπογραφή της διάσημης
σεφ Αργυρώς Μπαρμπαρίγου. Η θαλασσινή
αύρα φτάνει καθημερινά μέχρι το Κολωνάκι
με πιάτα όπως το υπέροχο χταπόδι με μέλι ή
τα ρεβύθια με ταραμοσαλάτα που ψήνονται 24
ώρες ώρες στη θράκα, αλλά και το γιουβέτσι
με καραβίδα ή αστακό.

They certainly took their time, but Basque flavours finally made it to Athens! If not the first,
