The International League of Conservation Photographers (ilcp.com) is a
fellowship of the world’s top 60 professionals who share an art and a vision. Through
their images, they inform, inspire, motivate—they are the defendors of a world at risk.

Music may have lost a classical pianist, but conservation photography has won one of its most prolific
and influential members. Soon after he abandoned his career as a musician, Garth Lenz was honored
with the highest international awards, while his images of global environmental issues, threatened
wilderness regions, nature’s devastation and its impact on indigenous peoples, have appeared in many
of the world’s leading publications. What motivates him? His belief that “presented with images that
show the beauty and fragility of nature, contrasted by the scale and impact
of our industrialization of the landscape, people will be encouraged to
support conservation and a more ecologically sensitive relationship
with the earth” | Η μουσική ίσως έχασε έναν κλασικό πιανίστα, αλλά η
