The Voidomatis is one of the cleanest
rivers in Europe. It flows through the
idyllic setting of the Vikos Gorge. An
excellent way to discover the area is rafting,
in other words navigating the river in an
inflatable raft under the watchful eye of an
experienced guide, perhaps a member of
the “No Limits” team. The route is easy and
considered suitable for beginners. It begins
at the traditional bridge outside the village of
Aristi and at the end of the descent there is a
great surprise in the form of a chute at the side of
the small artificial dam. | Ο Βοϊδομάτης είναι ένα
από τα καθαρότερα ποτάμια της Ευρώπης. Κυλά στη
χαράδρα του Βίκου, ανάμεσα σε ένα επικό τοπίο. Ένας
τρόπος να δείτε αλλιώς την περιοχή είναι το ράφτινγκ,
δηλαδή κατάβαση ποταμού με ειδική βάρκα, υπό την
καθοδήγηση έμπειρου οδηγού ποταμού, όπως εκείνοι
που απαρτίζουν την ομάδα της No Limits. Η κατάβαση
είναι εύκολη κι ενδείκνυται για αρχάριους. Ξεκινά από την
παραδοσιακή γέφυρα του χωριού Αρίστη και στο τελείωμά
της έρχεται η έκπληξη, η τσουλήθρα που βλέπετε στο
φράγμα του ποταμού.
