Α fter joining the traditional family business, this
young designer endowed “Kourbelas Knitwear”
with the characteristics of an haute couture
fashion house, dressing women in 19 coun-
tries around the world, from New Zealand and
Canada to Saudi Arabia and Mozambique. Ioanna Kourbela’s
studies in fashion design, scenography and costume design are
evident in her unique creations, rightfully ranking her high on
the list of fashion’s most promising young designers. The cre-
ation that launched her reputation is the timeless and beloved
‘Code 2550’ sweater, though her collections – usually inspired
by elements of nature – are always awaited with great interest.
High quality airy, natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk and
wool, minimal seams and polymorphic bohemian clothes with

μόδας που ντύνει γυναίκες σε 19 χώρες του κόσμου, από τη
Νέα Ζηλανδία και τον Καναδά μέχρι τη Σαουδική Αραβία και τη
Μοζαμβίκη. Οι σπουδές της στο σχέδιο μόδας, τη σκηνογραφία
και την ενδυματολογία αποτυπώνονται στο ιδιαίτερο στυλ των
δημιουργιών της Ιωάννας Κουρμπέλα, που δικαίως κατατάσσεται
ανάμεσα στις πιο πολλά υποσχόμενες νέες σχεδιάστριες μόδας.
Η δημιουργία που εκτόξευσε τη φήμη της είναι ένα διαχρονικό
και πολύ αγαπημένο κομμάτι, η ζακέτα 2550, αλλά οι κολεξιόν
της -εμπνευσμένες συνήθως από κάποιο στοιχείο της φύσης-
