Safdie, the ambitious project will not be just
a gateway for flights, but an exciting tourism
destination on its own. Jewel is scheduled for
completion at the end of 2018.

κόσμου, το Jewel Changi της Σιγκαπούρης,
σχεδιάζει να γίνει ασυναγώνιστο, με μια
εντυπωσιακή τεράστια κατασκευή από γυαλί και
ατσάλι, η οποία χαρακτηρίστηκε ως το terminal
του μέλλοντος. Γνωστό ως Project Jewel, το 726
εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων terminal κατασκευάζεται
δίπλα στο υπάρχον Τerminal 1, ενώ θα έχει μια
από τις μεγαλύτερες εσωτερικές συλλογές φυτών.
Επίσης, ατραξιόν του θα είναι το Forest Valley,
ένας τεράστιος κήπος 5 ορόφων, γεμάτος χιλιάδες
δέντρα και θάμνους. Ο εντυπωσιακός Rain Vortex,
ύψους 40 μέτρων, στο κέντρο του συγκροτήματος,
αναμένεται να είναι ο ψηλότερος καταρράκτης
εσωτερικού χώρου στον κόσμο, που το βράδυ θα
μετατρέπεται σε μια παράσταση Φως και Ήχος,
με σπέσιαλ εφέ φωτισμού. Φέρνοντας τη φύση
εντός, το στρογγυλό terminal δεν θα μοιάζει με
κανένα από τα υπάρχοντα. Σχεδιασμένο από τον
αναγνωρισμένο αρχιτέκτονα Moshe Safdie, το
φιλόδοξο project δεν θα αποτελεί απλώς μια
έξοδο αεροδρομίου, αλλά κι έναν τουριστικό
προορισμό. Η κατασκευή του θα ολοκληρωθεί στο
τέλος του 2018.
