the royal emblem of the ancient Chinese dynasty. The recently completed
building aims to become China’s new urban emblem. This was why its
creator avoided western practices and designed something completely
different from a usual 33-floor skyscraper. The circular, 138-metre-tall
building features an innovative 48-metre-wide hole in the centre and has
a total floor space of 85,000 m2, which now serves as the headquarters of
