Flying against clichés that place visiting a
pharmacy among the most boring shopping
experiences in the world, Lairesse Apotheek
specializes in natural, homeopathic remedies
and medicines. Housed in a former bank
designed by Concrete architecture firm, the
store’s 522 transparent drawers light up with
almost natural, green light that floods the
otherwise white space, while an imposing tree
trunk dominates the room, stretching from
the floor to the ceiling. This is where design
and philosophy co-exist in natural harmony.
Κόντρα στα κλισέ που θέλουν τα φαρμακεία
πρώτα στη λίστα των πιο βαρετών καταστημάτων
του κόσμου, αυτή η πρώην τράπεζα, που σήμερα
ειδικεύεται στα φυσικά και ομοιοπαθητικά
φαρμακευτικά προϊόντα, διαθέτει έναν από τους
πιο ενδιαφέροντες χώρους, με την υπογραφή
του αρχιτεκτονικού γραφείου Concrete. Τα 522
διάφανα συρτάρια ζωντανεύουν με πράσινο
φως που πλημμυρίζει το λευκό περιβάλλον, ενώ
στο κέντρο δεσπόζει ο κορμός ενός δέντρου
που έχει τις ρίζες του στο πάτωμα, περνάει από
το ταμείο και σκαρφαλώνει στο ταβάνι. Design
και φιλοσοφία σε πλήρη πράσινη αρμονία.
