Consistently active in the environmental, flight safety, and educational field, Athens International Airport, organises for the first time in Greece, jointly with the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority and the Hellenic Air Force -competent authorities for civil and military flights - the 27th International Bird Strike Committee (IBSC) from May 23rd to 27th, at the Eugenides Foundation IBSC, a consulting association recognised by ICAO, holds its conference since the establishment of the association in 1966, offering a dialogue platform between aviation representatives and environmental specialists. This year, the Conference will welcome 200 participants to address issues such as the design and application of effective bird hazard control / reduction programmes.
