The General Assembly of Shareholders of Athens International Airport S.A. elected today the new Board of Directors, which consists of:
The new Chairman of Athens International Airport S.A., Professor Dr. Costis Vaitsos, ex Alternate Minister of National Economy, is succeeding Dr. Haris Stamatopoulos, who was the Chairman of the Airport Company from 1996 until today.
Moreover, two new Board Members have been appointed: Mr. Antonis Vgontzas and Mrs. Androniki Boumi, who are succeeding Messrs. Antonis Trifyllis and Dimitris Paraskevas in the Board of Directors of Athens International Airport S.A.
The General Assembly of Shareholders thanked warmly Dr. Stamatopoulos, Mr. Trifyllis and Mr. Paraskevas for their invaluable contribution to the realization of the monumental project of the new Athens International Airport. A particular reference was made to the decisive role of Dr. Stamatopoulos as the Chairman of the Airport Company, from the commencement of the Airport's construction up to the first months of its operation, and the outstanding significance of this role for the success of the Airport Company.
