Following a successful 5-year tenure at the helm of “Athens International Airport S.A.” (AIA), Mr. Alfred van der Meer this year retires from the position of company CEO. Under Mr. van der Meer’s management, Athens International Airport achieved traffic records, increasing profitability, and recognised excellence in operational efficiency, as reflected in the highly distinguished performance of Athens International Airport during the particularly demanding period of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
