PRESS RELEASES
07 AUGUST 2002
New offers in parking areas

Athens International Airport welcomes its friends, guests and passengers of August, informing of its offers and the new discounts incentive programme implemented at both "short-term" (P1, P2) as well as "long-term" (P3) parking areas.

More specifically, as of August 1st, all persons using parking areas at "Eleftherios Venizelos" (4,720 parking spaces in total) benefit from the following significant offers:

Five day charge for the whole month

In order to facilitate passengers leaving on their vacations, parking in the "long-term" parking area (P3) costs EURO 50 for a period of five days or more, the cost that usually applies to a stay of five days only.
(Total charge of EURO 50 for a 5 up to 31-day stay)

First twenty minutes free of charge

In addition, as of the beginning of August, for the first twenty minutes at all parking areas of the Airport (P1, P2 and P3) parking is free of charge.
This way, a significant service is provided to all those wishing to settle pending travel arrangements (purchases, information requests, dropping-off/picking-up of passengers) or who are just visiting "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport.

P1, P2 - The "short-term" parking area (P1, P2 - with 1,360 spaces) is mainly targeted towards those visiting the airport for a stay of usually less than four hours.

P3 - The "long-term" parking area (P3 - with 3,360 spaces) is mainly targeted towards passengers who wish to park their vehicle for an extended period.

As regards the pricing policy at parking areas of the airport, the following apply:

Charges at all parking areas follow a standard rate for the first four hours (from EURO 2.90 up to 9.10), thus facilitating drivers who wish to park for a short period of time.
Drivers who wish to park for a longer period are better served by the lower rates charged at the "long-term" parking area (P3).

Analytical tariff tables are on display at all parking entrances, so that drivers are informed in a timely and straightforward manner.

Moreover, at P1 and P2 parking areas, additional signposting will be put up shortly, which will inform drivers that for a stay exceeding four hours in duration, parking at the P3 area is better value for money.

It should be reminded that management of parking areas has been assigned to Central Parking Systems Athens S.A. (CPS), which is a subsidiary of CPS International, a company which is among the major and most experienced companies internationally in this sector.
We would like to extend our wishes for a pleasant stay and parking at "Eleftherios Venizelos" and happy holidays!

" ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS"

Note: The tariff tables have been on display by the entrance of parking areas as of the first day of operation of the Airport.
