Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Greek National Tourism Organization and Athens International Airport

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and Athens International Airport S.A. (AIA), for the materialization of coordinated joint action, building on the dynamics of the aviation sector as key for high quality tourism products and services.

According to the Memorandum, the common working grounds for AIA and the GNTO will include communication/advertising actions aiming at the promotion of Greek tourism and the further development of airport traffic, the joint participation in international exhibitions, conferences and meetings, the collaboration in market research surveys and the participation of the GNTO in those already conducted by Athens International Airport.

This collaboration with AIA supports the GNTO’s strategy for collaborations and synergies with tourism related authorities and organizations in Greece. In addition, Athens International Airport, among the most modern, operational and safe international airports, with a key geographical location, state-of-the-art infrastructure and high level of services, is among SE Europe’s most important gateways. With a strong socioeconomic impact on a local and national scale, AIA also acts as a consultant in Greece and abroad, offering services and know-how ranging from IT&T and operational readiness, to airport marketing, market surveys, etc.
