For the second consecutive year, the International Month of Photography will “welcome“ travellers at Athens International Airport, through the collective photography exhibition “Between Memories and Future”, hosted by the airport in cooperation with the Hellenic Centre for Photography, from October 8, 2007 until January 7, 2008.

Twenty-four photographs of Greek and international artists, selected out of equal number of exhibitions staged on the occasion of the 14th International Month of Photography, will introduce travellers and airport visitors to the culture of modern photography. A panorama of colour and black & white images of different techniques and approaches will give travellers a first taste of the 14th International Month of Photography as displayed in the Athens galleries, museums, and cultural centres.

By hosting the 14th International Month of Photography, Athens International Airport is delighted to contribute for the second time to the goals of the institution in Athens: showing and promoting the work of Greek photographers, both young and established, as well as bringing the work of international photographers to Greece. The airport’s collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Photography certainly brings this into effect.
