Freighters World Conference for the first time in Greece

One of the most prestigious air cargo conferences internationally, the “6th Freighters World Conference”, will be hosted for the first time in Greece, attended by leading executives from the international and domestic aviation market (October 10th – 11th, Astir Palace Hotel – Vouliagmeni).

This year’s “Freighters World Conference” will mainly focus on air cargo transportation issues within Greece, assessing also the potential of Athens International Airport to develop into a cargo gateway. The speakers’ list includes senior executives from the local and international air cargo scene, as well as members of the transport sector of the Greek academic society. Mr. Ioannis Andrianopoulos, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority Governor, will make the welcome and opening address of the conference.

The conference’s organisers is Tabmag Publishing, publishers of “Air Cargo News”, the leading newspaper worldwide on air cargo issues. Athens International Airport, recent winner of “Cargo Airport of the Year” award in the 101-500 thousand tonne annual uplift category, is hosting the Gala Dinner, while also sponsoring part of the participation of the Greek cargo community.

This year’s “Freighters World Conference” in Athens provides a unique opportunity to the Greek aviation and forwarders market to meet and discuss industry issues with other executives of the international aviation sector, and actively participate in the panel discussions regarding the development potential of Greek air transportation.
