Christmas at "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport - December 14, 2001 With its best wishes and in a festive spirit, "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport celebrates its first Christmas, and invites passengers and visitors to enjoy a unique atmosphere at a "different" airport, all set for Christmas! Christmas carols, as well as a variety of classical, jazz, and contemporary music, will set a welcome note for passengers and visitors at the Airport's Departure Lounge on December 21st & 28th. During these days, the Athens International Airport is delighted to host two excellent musical ensembles, in cooperation with the Division of Musical Ensembles of ERT S.A. In addition, from Saturday, December 22nd through to Monday, December 31st, "Christmas Fantasy", a merry programme dedicated to children (detailed description follows) will be on every day, filling the airport with the vitality and laughter of the children. Throughout the Christmas season, Santa Claus and his sleigh, a team of clowns, a pantomime theatre, as well as the traditional "Karagiozis" and his Theatre of Shadows, and the Disney heroes, will be expecting our young - and not so young - friends at 'Eleftherios Venizelos', to offer them moments filled with music and fantasy.
