Annual Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

The Annual Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Athens International Airport S.A. approved today the financial statements, as well as the actions of the Board of Directors of the Airport Company during the fiscal year 2003.

Furthermore, the General Meeting elected three new Members of the Board of Directors of Athens International Airport S.A., in substitution of departing members. The three newly elected members of the Board of Directors are Dr. Angelos Androulidakis, Dr. Peter Noe, and Professor Dimitrios Tsamboulas.

The General Meeting of Shareholders thanked warmly the departing members Ms. Boumi, Mr. Maniatopoulos, and Dr. Schwarz for their contribution to the management of Athens International Airport S.A.

Within the framework of the General Meeting, the Shareholders expressed their appreciation for the work of the Board of Directors and Management that led the airport to its development into an efficient infrastructure within its three years of operation.

As it was pointed out, the airport's efficiency is reflected in AIA's sound financial results, and the high user appreciation. Especially in view of the forthcoming Olympic Games, the airport's thorough preparation indicates its operational readiness and efficiency, as well as the coordinated action undertaken for the accomplishment of the airport's goals.

During the Meeting, the representatives of the Greek State in their capacity as shareholder confirmed the importance of the airport as a major business and employment driver. Being a business platform for more than 200 entreprises directly related to the airport's operation, Athens International Airport is one of the major business communities in Greece. More than 14,000 people work at the airport compound, making "Eleftherios Venizelos" Airport one of the biggest employment engines in Greece.
