You cannot but notice it. And that was
precisely the central idea behind Future
Architecture Thinking’s (FAT) proposal
for Casa das Artes, a new cultural centre.
Nestled in the verdant green mountains
of Lousa, the intense red hues make the
building stand out, thus highlighting its
futuristic lines, slanted roofs and geometric
shape. With a capacity of hosting 300
people, a museum, amphitheatre and
various open-air spaces, in this case red
really does mean stop. | Δεν μπορεί να
περάσει απαρατήρητο, άλλωστε αυτή ήταν
και η κεντρική ιδέα του αρχιτεκτονικού
γραφείου Future Architecture Thinking
(FAT) για το νέο πολιτιστικό κέντρο Casa
das Artes. Στην περιοχή των καταπράσινων
βουνών Lousa, το εκτυφλωτικό κόκκινο
είναι το στοιχείο που το ξεχωρίζει κι
αναδεικνύει τις φουτουριστικές γραμμές
και τις κεκλιμένες οροφές του γωνιώδους
κτιρίου, το οποίο θα στεγάσει μια αίθουσα
300 θέσεων, μουσείο, αμφιθέατρο και
