Looking into the international sector -10
and the tra­c development of the various -13.7
regions, Middle East was the region that
once more achieved robust passenger tra­c -20 -19.9
development, with a growth at the level of 7%,
while Eastern Europe also proved resilient to -30
the adverse market conditions and achieved
a small but important 2.4% increase. The
two markets account for almost 20% (18%) -40
of the airport’s international passenger
tra­c. Western Europe which represents
approximately 78% of AIA’s international -50
tra­c witnessed a small tra­c loss of -2%
and largely formulated the overall result.
The remaining smaller and intercontinental -60
markets of Africa, America and Asia -64.3
witnessed significant levels of passenger
decline, mainly attributed to substantial -70
