In Greece, clubs were not part of our culture, so peo- ple had to be acquainted with the idea. And they are still in the process of discovering why they should participate in something for which a mem- bership fee is charged. We don’t aspire to a core membership of well-to-do individuals, but rather creative people. And when we say “club”, we are not emphasizing the private aspect in the sense that it is off-limits to some. Our prospective mem- bers are creative, restless, productive people. As for the name, Salon de Bricolage is a place you go to buy things when you are not a professional, so that you can then make something with your own hands.
