Children paint Greece Athens International Airport hosts a unique exhibition of children's artwork from the collections of the Museum of Greek Children's Art

Prize-winning artwork from the Pan-hellenic Contests of Children's Drawing and the "Cycles of Artistic Experiences" of the Museum of Greek Children's Art* will be on display at "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport from May 22nd to September 30th, 2003 (Main Terminal Building, Departure Lounges B1 - B16, Intra-Schengen area).

Tomorrow, our airport welcomes in its premises the magic world of children's expressiveness and creativity. Through the Exhibition "Children paint Greece", the airport once again embraces a cultural initiative focusing on children, this time in collaboration with the Museum of Greek Children's Art.

Artwork of boundless imagination, impulsive and unpredictable, with a variety of techniques and bright colors, opens a window to Greece through children's eyes. Passengers of all ages departing from Athens International Airport will "take in their luggage" the Greek skies, the colours of the Aegean and the shades of nature, combined with themes from the Greek culture and the city of Athens.

* The Museum of Greek Children's Art aims to preserve, study and promote children's art, to cultivate children's aesthetics and develop their creativity. The Museum of Greek Children's Art, unique in its kind in Greece and one of the very few worldwide, is a non-profit, public benefit cultural association.
